We worked with Chukwudi Obi to design and build a landing page for his new artist management company, Iliff Ave.
In our early conversations, Chukwudi emphasized his desire to build a world around these artists. This notion of “world-building” is always something we aim to do with artist websites, but we’ve never had a mascot logo like Iliff Ave’s to play with. We wanted to integrate this character in a way that emphasizes Iliff Ave as a growing universe.
When it comes to world-building in web design, a core reference is the iconic Space Jam website from 1996 (still live today). We imagined a new take on this layout concept with modern interactivity and UI design.
Scott led web design and front-end development; Nicholas turned Iliff Ave’s static mascot logo into an animated loading animation; and Sam built the back-end CMS to connect all the content (featured below in light and dark mode).
Chukwudi can seamlessly update the site from this custom-built Sanity admin panel, leaving the Iliff Ave digital universe well-positioned to grow from here.
